Which coach fits your group?
Size the coach to the largest number of people moving at the same moment. If a group arrives in waves, one coach running loops may be enough. If everyone has to arrive together, add a vehicle instead.
| Vehicle | Seats | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Mercedes-Benz Sprinter | 13 | Small teams, wedding parties, a board heading to dinner |
| Mini Coach | 24 | Wedding guest shuttles, department outings, hotel loops |
| Coach | 34 | Conference delegations, gala guests, rodeo groups |
| Coach plus Mini Coach | 58 | A larger group in one wave, on two vehicles |
Convention shuttles at the George R. Brown
The George R. Brown Convention Center has two designated pickup and drop-off points at the front of the building on Avenida de las Americas: one on the north side outside Hall B and one on the south side outside Hall E. Tell us which hall your group uses and we plan the coach stop around it.
Hilton Americas-Houston at 1600 Lamar St connects directly to the convention center, so delegates staying there can walk. The coach is most useful for hotels farther out, for evening events away from downtown, and for airport arrivals.
Galas and corporate evenings
For a gala, the coach carries guests between a hotel block and the ballroom so nobody drives home after the event. Two Houston properties come up often, and they are different hotels in different parts of town.
- Hilton Americas-Houston, downtown at 1600 Lamar St, connected to the George R. Brown.
- The Post Oak Hotel in Uptown, whose 16,000 square foot Grand Ballroom is described by the hotel as the largest ballroom in the Uptown and Galleria area, with designated ballroom parking.
- Not to be confused with Hilton Houston Post Oak by the Galleria, a separate property that offers its own complimentary shuttle within a 3-mile radius.
Wedding guest shuttles
A Mini Coach or Coach running a loop from the hotel block to the ceremony, then to the reception, and back to the hotel at the end of the night is one use for a coach on a wedding day. Size it to the guests riding on the busiest loop. Our wedding page has the full sizing table and a buffer rule for the timeline.
Rodeo and stadium groups
RODEOHOUSTON 2027 runs March 2 to 21, 2027 at NRG Park, where on-site parking is limited and the rodeo itself recommends rideshare with drop-off. A coach keeps a company group or a family reunion together for the ride in and the ride home after the concert.
Corporate moves and team travel
Offsites, site visits, client days and airport runs for a whole team. Requests are confirmed by text or phone within 15 minutes, and receipts and invoices are emailed afterward for the expense report or the cost center.
What should I tell you for a charter bus quote?
A quote comes back faster when the request answers these questions. A rough version is fine.
- The date, and whether the group moves once or several times that day.
- How many people ride on the busiest leg.
- Every pickup and drop-off address, with times.
- Whether the coach waits on site or comes back later.
- Luggage: a convention or airport group with bags needs more room than a gala group.
- A day-of contact on your side, with a mobile number.
What drives the price of a charter bus in Houston?
Coach prices depend on the size of the vehicle, the total hours from first pickup to last drop-off, the date and the distance. Houston charter prices vary widely from one operator to the next, so we do not quote a market average. We quote your trip by text, and the trip is booked once you accept the confirmed quote.
